サラ・チャンピオンは彼女の好きな音楽と本とポップアイコンを総まとめにするプロジェクトを多数行ってきた。それらの作品はすべて文章と音楽とデザインをユニークに融合したもので、音楽ファンにとってはアーティストの未発表曲や特別トラックなどが聴けるレアな作品集なのである。
はじめてのプロデュース作品は彼女が 17 歳の時だった。 1987 年のカセットテープやレコードをこんぴレーションにした マンチェスター・ノース・オブ・イングランド はマンチェスターの音楽シーンを盛り上げ、なかにジェームス・アンド・インスパイラル・カーペッツなどの特別トラックも含まれている。そのほかのマンチェスター音楽のコンピレーション、 ヒット・ザ・ノース と フリーク・ビーツ はマッドチェスターと呼ばれるに至るまでのインディー、ダンスシーンをいち早くドキュメントしたものである。
1990 年代に彼女はインディペンデントレコードレーベルのための トランス・ヨーロッパ・エキスプレス（ヨーロピアンエレクトロニカと UK ドラムンベース） の編集者として起用される。また、アメリカや日本のテクノ / ハウスコンピレーション トランス・アトランティック と パシフィック・ステイト (Deviant/Sony Japan) の制作にも参加。これらはすべて 2 枚組み CD にインタビューや写真などを掲載したブックレットを付属したユニークな作品。
ケミカル・フィクションと呼ばれたアンソロジー集 ディスコ・ビスケッツ のなかのアーヴィン・ウェルシュやアレックス・ガーランドなどの短編はザ・シャーメンと 808 ステイトやアンダーワールドとゴールディーなど過去 10 年のダンスミュージックの名作によってサウンドトラックがつけられた。
世紀末のアンソロジー ディスコ 2000 にも U-Ziq 、プラグそしてジミ・テノールなどがオリジナルサウンドトラックを提供、この本が持っているサイファイ感覚を音で再現している。コールド・カットやＫＬＦも参加しているのだが・・・・・カバー絵の手榴弾については触れないことにしておこう。
