The house where Ted Hughes was born, in the village of Mytholmroyd, West Yorkshire, has been bought by Sarah Champion, leader of the rave generation of writers, whose current and anthologies Fortune Hotel and Disco Biscuits helped to launch the careers of Alex Garland and Nicholas Blincoe. Champion is said to be clubbed-out, and has gone to live with real hawks and symbolic crows.
